New Collaboration Events

Our summer of pop-up events on the ground floor of the Amulet was a huge success but has now come to an end.  This activity has however led to two exciting opportunities for us to work with other local organisations.  See below for details of a professional dance performance with workshop and residency plus an amazing live music event at the Art Bank.

Ekleido Live Dance & Residency
at Create@#8 and Croscombe Village Hall

Let’s Buy the Amulet and Make The Sunshine organisations are joining forces to co-ordinate a dance residency together with Take Art – Somerset’s rural touring charity. The residency will include community engagement activity at Create@#8 with local groups and public events finishing with a full performance in Croscombe Village Hall on Saturday 25th October.

Join creative duo Ekleido for a mesmerising dance experience featuring original music by world-renowned electronic musician Floating Points.  Immerse yourself in a spellbinding display of impressive acrobatics, bodily contortions, dazzling costumes and spectacular lights. Ekleido’s club-inspired magic will make this a night to remember!

Day of the Dead – Live Music
at The Art Bank

Featuring live band Xaman X plus Panther Panther and DJs Cal Jader & Arias plus Sunday Market DJs and Minsky live.

Xaman X combine live electronics with traditional Latin American instrumentation and outstanding percussion, they ride the thin line between old and new, grounded and psychedelic, spiritual and kitsch. Their improvised sets are ritualistic music for a post-modern era where bamboo marimbas and charangos glide effortlessly over synthetic sounds and otherworldly UFO howls, where the Colombian flute calling dances with bells, tamboras, congas and 808 kicks, supporting the beautiful voice and powerful bars of their other-worldly front-woman.

The After Sunday Market shindig at the Art Bank.  Children welcome, dress colourful!  Bring your ofrenda

Supported by The Art Bank, Buy The Amulet and The Club.
