This week volunteers installed a temporary lighting system on the ground floor. These stage lights are hung from existing ceiling structures and will support the programme of pop-up events that will take place this spring and summer.
Media students programmed the DMX lights to be controlled using a scene selector, which means that at the push of a button the mood lighting within the different spaces can change depending on the time of day, event, or occasion.
News of our potential funding remains on hold. Following July’s election, we are still waiting for news on how the new government will manage community funding. Our bid to purchase and reopen the Amulet had been well received but along with many other community campaigns, we are currently waiting for the bidding process to reopen….

Our project had a boost this week with the donation of 400 theatre seats from Cambridge Arts Theatre.
