Members’ Meeting and 50th Anniversary Celebration!

Calling all members of The Amulet!

The first members’ meeting of The Amulet Centre Limited will be held at 4:30pm on Saturday 6th December 2025 in St Peter and St Paul’s Church, Shepton Mallet.

The purpose of this meeting is to say a massive Thank You and Welcome to everyone who has supported this campaign to reopen the Amulet by investing in our community share offer.  Our share offer has now officially been declared a success, as we passed the minimum target, and everyone who bought shares has now become a member of The Amulet Centre Limited, which is the charitable community benefit society that has been created to eventually own and operate the Amulet.

The meeting will also provide an opportunity to learn about options for members to be involved in the project, by joining the board of directors or one of the committees or help in other ways. And there will be news on the action plan for raising the remaining funds required.

Share Certificates

Every member will receive a personalised share certificate, which are being hand-printed by a small team of our creative volunteers.

Members will be able to collect their share certificates at the Member’s Meeting.  Please reply to this email, confirming your delivery address, if you are unable to attend the meeting.

50th Anniversary Celebration

The members’ meeting will be held just one day after the 50th anniversary of the Amulet’s official 1975 opening day.  Join us in celebrating this anniversary and a bright future for Shepton Mallet, with tea and birthday cake in the church at the end of the meeting.

Annual General Meeting 28th January 2026

The first full board of directors of The Amulet Centre Limited will be formally elected at the society’s Annual General Meeting, which will take place on Wednesday 28th January 2026 at 7pm.

We need to have a wide range of people on the Board and also on the committees that will be formed to manage particular areas and we very much look forward to hearing from members who are potentially interested.

There will be an opportunity at the December meeting to find out more on what it means to be a director of a charitable community benefit society and other ways to get involved but don’t hesitate to get in touch now if you might be interested.

Thank You!

Thank you once again to each and every one of our 300+ members and we look forward to seeing as many of you as can make it at 4:30pm on Saturday 6th December 2025 in St Peter and St Paul’s Church, Shepton Mallet.
