SUMMARY:Ekleido – Splice/Rorschach double bill
DESCRIPTION:Join professional dance company Ekleido for a breathtaking double bill dance performance incorporating voguing\, bonebreaking and threading club/street dance styles and featuring original music by world-renowned electronic musician FloatingPoints. \nEkleido usually perform in major dance venues but were selected and funded by the Rural Touring Dance Initiative and Arts Council England to adapt their show for a national rural venue tour in 2026. Let’s Buy The Amulet were delighted to have hosted Ekleido last October for a week-long residency here in Shepton Mallet as part of those preparations\, and to now be hosting the full performances on their national tour. \nOpening the programme is Ekleido’s critically acclaimed Splice in which two dancers find the balance between limitation and possibility to solve a physical puzzle. \nCompleting the bill is Rorschach\, a trio that reimagines the iconic Rorschach inkblot test. DESCRIPTION:Following their chance re-encounter in the south-east corner of Glastonbury Festival in 2024\, old schoolmates CISSY + Dan Hughes have been writing and performing as a duo and sharing their love for jazz and folk styles.
